Mortgage Process
In short, Global Treatment from Aviva offers policy holders and their eligible children (up to age 18, or up to age 21 if still in full time education) access to an expert second opinion, international facilities, medical advice and treatment from medical professionals outside of the UK.

In the event of a serious or critical illness diagnosis including cancer treatment, live organ donor transplant, heart valve replacement, coronary artery bypass surgery, neurosurgery and bone marrow transplant- families could be facing a situation that may change everything they’ve ever known.

Finding the best possible treatment is crucial and this could be on the NHS, it could be private, or it could be outside of the UK.

This may be due to a particular treatment not being available on the NHS or more specialised treatment being available elsewhere. In such circumstances, additional treatment may run alongside any treatment offered on the NHS -all cases are reviewed individually.

Global Treatment costs an additional £3 per policy holder alongside a personal protection product including Life Insurance+ and Critical Illness Cover+.
It offers up to £1 million of cover per year, up to a maximum of £2 million during the policy term.

Why should you consider Aviva’s Global Treatment?

The NHS estimates that there are currently around 7,000 people on the UK Transplant Waiting List.
The NHS statistics show that 1 in 2 people will develop some form of cancer in their lifetime. In the UK the most common types of cancer are breast cancer, lung cancer, bowel cancer and prostate cancer.
The British Heart Foundation statistics show that there’s around 170,000 deaths each year from heart and circulatory disease and this accounts for one death every 3 minutes.

Additional Benefits of Aviva’s Global Treatment

Global Treatment will also pay for transport and accommodation for you and a companion if your treatment requires travel. If the Global Treatment is for a child, it will pay for both parents to travel.
There will be a cash allowance of up to £100 per day for up to 60 days.
Upon return to the UK, there will be funds for ongoing medication costs of up to £50,000. This is for medication that is not funded, or only partially funded by the NHS.
